Oracle EDQ features and its architecture (high level)

The post will explains the features of Oracle EDQ and its Architecture:

Features:

 1. Oracle EDQ is single user interface which will support full range of data quality functionality
       i.e Profiling, transforming and auditing
           Parsing and matching

2. Oracle EDQ is also supports real-time, Batch integration with spoke /external applications

3. Oracle EDQ will also supports standalone and also supports read, write and report on external system data.

4. Oracle EDQ supports for accessing multi-user, creating multi-projects and also supports multi-servers

5. Oracle EDQ user interface can access multiple users across enterprise
         i.e Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Executives and Stockholders etc.,

Architecture:

1. Oracle EDQ have 3 levels:

• Client:  Java web start user interface and its used to Configure, initiate, monitor processes and browse results
• Business Layer:   It is deployed on Java application server and used to capture and process the data and also update the results within user interface .
• Data Storage:  The Oracle EDQ contain 2 repository i.e 
• Director: The Director contain configuration data
• Results:   The results schema holds temporary data and the data may be refreshed when processes are executing.

Deployment Options:

•  Client:  Java running on Windows required
• Business Layer:  This must be deployed on any of the application servers e.g weblogic, Tomcat, WebSphere etc.,  Note: The application server to be select based on databasse/data storage.
• Data Storage:  It is used to store the data e.g Oracle, PostgresSQL etc.,
